Across the desk Looking out the window, Sun moves on Clouds, and now the wind blows Out into the bay Dolphins play Their echoing games. The Sea she sends Her rain into the City, In the hope of Making it look pretty Some day soon She’s going to send The Pitiless Wave, Wash it all away. Wash it all away, wash it all away, Wash it all away, wash it all away, Wash it all, Wash it all away. © Ian C. Thomas - All rights reserved.

I’m heading right off the map, And you know I’m never coming back, Find out who I’m meant to be, Seek out the unbeaten track. And I don’t mind saying, I didn’t know I could be free, I’m heading right off the map, And you know I’m never coming back. I see the mountains rising, I see the open sea, And there’s a new day dawning, The rest is history. No, I’m not just dreaming, I didn’t know I could be free, I’m heading right off the map, And you know I’m never coming back. © Ian C. Thomas - All rights reserved.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Could be sunshine or could be rain, And it seems all the chances Are the same. And if it seems quite unlikely, If it always seems I’m to blame, Things can be seen From either way. We sleep But in the night we change We keep Our secrets sweet and strange We sleep Until we reach the day We keep Then give it all away. Due to unforeseen circumstances, It’s all getting beyond control, All flights are now cancelled Or on hold. And if it all seems quite unlikely, If it always seems all the same, Things can always be seen In different ways. We sleep But in the night we change We keep Our secrets sweet and strange We sleep Until we reach the day We keep Then give it all away. Into the blue Into the fire I’ll come with you Down to the wire… And sleep Until at night we change And keep Our secrets sweet and strange We’ll sleep Until we reach the day We’ll keep Then give it all away. © Ian C. I’ve been to the stars And I’m back from Mars, I’ve sailed through the Heavens I’ve sailed with Odysseus, Like a gift from the gods, Or a gift from Prometheus. I’m virtually yours (I’m virtually yours) I’m virtually yours (I’m virtually yours) I’m virtually yours (I’m virtually yours) I’m virtually, virtually, virtually yours. What will we become? What if we get caught in the middle? What will we become? Little by little by little by little. Now that we are one On two legs Of an answered riddle, What will be become? Now that we have to meet in the middle? I’m virtually yours (I’m virtually yours) I’m virtually yours (I’m virtually yours) I’m virtually yours (I’m virtually yours) I’m virtually, virtually, virtually yours. Rain Song 02:58
When I listen to the rain There go my dreams into the blue And when you wake up, I might tell them to you, As though they one day might come true. Nobody, Ever saw the world without fear, Forever, I need you near. Nobody, Lives on just a single idea, Remember, Our time right here. When I’m awake and you’re asleep All my memories in blue And when you wake up, I will still be with you, ‘Til another day is through. Nobody, Ever saw the world without fear, Forever, I need you near. Nobody, Lives on just a single idea, Remember, Our time right here. © Ian C. Thomas - All rights reserved.

The Night Fox is roaming through the suburbs A flick of whiskers, in a flash he’s gone, Through the dusk he’ll cross the streets and gardens Until midnight, when he sings his song. We live like shadows in the darkness Feed our hunger and we dance while fighting Drink the rain and we fear the thunder Eyes shine until the morning light returns Brother, how the daylight burns. The Night Fox has never dug a foxhole Under a factory is his favourite lair, Behind the weeds and in the earthen darkness His friend Vixen will be waiting there. We live like shadows in the darkness Feed our hunger and we dance while fighting Drink the rain and we fear the thunder Eyes shine until the morning light. We live like shadows in the darkness Feed our hunger and we dance while fighting Drink the rain and we fear the thunder Eyes shine until the morning light returns Brother, how the daylight burns. Brother, how the daylight burns. Brother, how the daylight burns. Now it’s later in the year, he’s hunting, So many cubs that he is growing lean Two families, both need feeding Mate and girlfriend, and the space between. We live like shadows in the darkness Feed our hunger and we dance while fighting Drink the rain and we fear the thunder Eyes shine until the morning light returns Brother, how the daylight burns. Brother (brother) How the daylight burns. © Ian C. Thomas - All rights reserved.

I know this old year has been Kind of disappointing, I know We both did things We didn’t see the point of, And here we are, We’ve reached the moment of decision, I just can’t help it, I feel waves of optimism. That’s all fading in the dust now, I’ve realised it’s got to be now, The clocks are moving And the moment’s getting closer, A new beginning And this feeling’s taking over. You and me, We’re gonna be, Kissing in the New Year. You and me, We’re gonna be, Kissing in the New Year. Here’s comes midnight, Midnight, midnight, midnight. It’s time to celebrate A world of new directions, you know We can party from this Year into the next one. And here we are, We’ve reached a moment of decision, I just can’t help it, I feel waves of optimism. You know, There’s hopes we’ve never dreamed of, Plans we couldn’t work out Somehow just because of, The clocks are moving And the moments getting closer, A new beginning And this feeling’s taking over. You and me, We’re gonna be, Kissing in the New Year. You and me, We’re gonna be, Kissing in the New Year. Here’s comes midnight, Midnight, midnight, midnight. © Ian C. Thomas - All rights reserved.

Floating 04:10
I’m floating Ever so high And far away. Some people never have a mind to be free And others just stand by and disagree. You and I know that’s not how it has to be. Some people never have the time to be free. I’m floating Ever so high And far away. I’m floating While I’m dreaming In the day. And maybe it’s ever been this way for everyone And some days no-one thinks they’ll see the Sun, But you and me, we’ve got something better, We can find a way to live, You and I, we’ve got a mind to be free, And free to give. I’m floating Ever so high And far away. I’m floating While I’m dreaming In the day. I keep thinking of things I wanted to say But my thoughts just keep on drifting away. I can’t find it, is it still there in your heart? Now and then, even when we’re apart? I’m floating Ever so high And far away (ever so high) I’m floating While I’m dreaming In the day (ever so high). © Ian C. Thomas - All rights reserved.

It begins again, Just when you think You’re getting used to it. You don’t want to know, If you’re going to be alone, Again. You’ll always find, You got what you came for. You know it’s time, You’ve seen the signs, You’re certain it’s too soon to go, You want to stay. You’re seeing stars again, In an Open Universe. I’ll be here, When it’s time to go. On into The Great Unknown. Every now and then, We’ll try again. Somehow we’ll find a way, But when, I just can’t say, ‘Til then, My friend. You’ll always find, You got what you came for. You know it’s time, You’ve seen the signs, You’re certain it’s too soon to go, You want to stay. You’re seeing stars again, In an Open Universe. We wait here, like craters on the Moon, Don’t think the end is coming soon, We will journey on, together or alone, The Sun shines on into the Great Unknown. I’ll be here, When it’s time to go. On into The Great Unknown. © Ian C. Thomas - All rights reserved.

When they arrived there were bones of a ship, Lying still here on the sand. Two hundred years since it sailed adrift, And wrecked on this far distant land. People came out here, To drink their beer On the polished deck. Years followed years, As the locals came To picnic on the wreck. Days sailed away, They borrowed wood, Burned it on the shore, And still the legend grew, In shifting sands That sailed forevermore. Who still believes in the Mahogany Ship? No-one can tell us where she lay, Lost to dreams, and lost to memory, Since like a ghost she sailed away. Away. Heave to, and trim the sails If we’re fast, we might avoid the gale Tide is turning, we’re too near the shore If this works, we’ll make it home once more. Heave to, and trim the sails (turn East) If we’re fast, we might avoid the gale (turn North) Tide is turning, we’re too near the shore (turn West) If this works, we’ll make it home once more. (turn South) Turn South! Hold your faith, we can find a way If we don’t then we’ll be here to stay Got no chart that we know will get us there, We’ll be through only on a wing, or a prayer. Heave to... Who remembers the Mahogany Ship? Who can remember where she lay? Who believes in the Mahogany Ship, Since like a ghost she went away? © Ian C. Thomas - All rights reserved.

Everyone riding the train Is dressed all in black, Watch them go flickering by On their way To their first Heart attack. Everyone walking the streets Has a story to tell, Now I remember That long ago We did As well. I wonder where you’ve gone And I still know it’s true I’ll sit by a fire Here, thinking of you And tomorrow, I’ll wear blue. When does this rushing away Begin to subside? Will there be time to come, Time to kill, Time to stare Once again, Into your eyes? I wonder where you’ve gone And I still know it’s true, I’ll sit by the fire And stare right on through, And tomorrow, I’ll wear blue. Tomorrow, I’ll wear blue. © Ian C. Thomas - All rights reserved.

While you’re thinking all the time, While you’re living in the rivers of mind, Keep your angel alive. Then you’ll find, In your heart as you climb, Keep your angel alive. When you’re blind, The wind is moonlight there in your eyes, Keep your angel alive. Friend and guide, Holding your hand, right by your side, Keep your angel alive. © Ian C.
